I suggest we a practice session where both candidates act as squad leader on opposing teams, and we play a few rounds like this while changing out squad members so everyone gets a chance to play under the command of RAM and Kernal.
After this, choosing out captain will be easier.

Happened to me as well. Only happened when i messed with the screen res around 1680 by 1250ish.

okay flyboyfx it all comes down to the machine. my other laptop did this several times and i beleive it has something to do with the server connection whether the machine is being bogged down or ur connection 2 bf2 server or the punkbuster client. It may correlatesmy vai to the amount ram u have as well. my vaio laptop with 2 gigs no problem but my hp with 1 gigs of ram had this problem!

Okay after reading the forums i have decided to look into the toolbar for vista.
Microsoft Claims These files are bad:
WERF6AC.tmp.version.txt
WER6BA.tmp.appcompat.txt
WER6FA.tmp.hdmp
can be found under the C:\Users\(your account name)\AppData\Local\Temp\
saying these files are incompatible. how ever they don't exist!
you are redirected to this website:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/dcp20.asp
thus in order to get the toolbar working these files must be generated or set to be compatible.
I have found these files in place of the previous files.
WER90F1.tmp.mdmp

Funny first thought i came up with was project reality! where when there is 64 players u may see a squad or too of them! its doable (theoretically) but the game play would be inhibited! which is why my 4th favorate mod is pr and i only play 4 mods. :p

Vista will play FH42 Set compatibility to windows 98 and enjoy!
steps:
1. install bf1942
2.patch
3. install fh42
4. right click on created short cut
5. click properties
6. open compatibility
7. select compatibility mode and set it to windows 98/me
8. check run as administrator
9. do punk buster thing/update
10. play fh42

Well vista has many problems with bf2 and fh2 but 1.41 patch does not conflict.
1.place patch file on desk top.
2. open with admin rights!
3. it took ten minutes for my i7 machine to open the patch just wait.
4. fh2 installer also takes some time in windows vista to operate.
Note: must be on desktop or downloads in vista too work! I have no idea y
