Yeah, some Volkssturm units were only issued with Panzerfausts and not much else.

Not only Volksturms, regular german soldiers aswel.  If a Panzerfaust 60 weights 6 Kilo"s, a bit trained soldier could easly carry 3 of them around.

Also, the smaller moveable AT guns seem to weigh like 5 KG as they roll back and sidewards on even the smallest slopes. This is terribly frustrating when trying to target enemy armour, not to mention the additional unwanted rolling due to the recoil. It just won't stand still while its weight should keep it on its place.

I know how frustrating that is but you have to remember that FH2's from a game engine that was not design for such thing as movable anti-tank guns nor real world physics. We have to live with it and have the most fun with what game the dev. team created and still develop.

I'm only steering towards change and hoping a dev will think about it rather than accepting 'how it is', after all, this *is* the suggestions forum remember? ;) And if they reply it cannot be done then I know. That is what the forums are all about.  ;)

That's the problem, it is impossible.  Their coders have tried over and over, but the BF2 engine is just that way, you can't really fix it.

Also, I believe the Rear MG on the hanomags covers far less than 10-2 o'clock in game.

I think you are right but you can get 10-2 oclock on them in reality with both the 34 and 42. I have used both there in reenacting. They are pretty much useless when advancing. They are for defense only, If we are moving foward into unknown territory I would rather grab the Mp44 or Mp40 off the rack and use that.

Maybe it wasn't taken into account when coding the effect of the Schurzen that allied soldiers can pick up Fausts?

Yes, the shields were there to stop AT fire. Specifically for handheld AT weapons, the rocket would lose most of its effectiveness as the explosion takes place after collision. There's also a small gap between the shields and the tank to release the blasts energy preventing it from further penetration the tank's actual armour.

I'll give it a test tonight, to see what happens...that would be an interesting bug....=/

Might as well post it here:

Spitfire IX, relatively simple to make, just make the Vb faster and change the name.
