I've borrowed this monitor before and played Forgotten Hope on it.

I don't know how to change the game display to fit the monitor, since the game won't start.

I found a solution here:

I had a medium monitor. I bought a large monitor from my friend, 1920x1080. Now Forgotten Hope 2 won't start. I doubleclick the program, the screen turns black for a second then returns to the desktop.

halp haaalp

Oh, I should mention that Project Reality works. Also, I reinstalled Forgotten Hope to no avail.

What do I want to see on the Eastfront? Dead Soviets.

I've had this problem on and off for a while now (switching between the two based on me wiping my hard drive), where my game is unbearably choppy online yet smooth in single player.

A while ago I for some reason deleted my pb (punkbuster) folder from my BF2 folder and forgot I had done so, and upon testing to see if the game magically fixed itself I noticed the game running quite smooth online and remembered the change I had made regarding punkbuster.

I then reinstalled punkbuster (so as to not get kicked shortly upon joining a server) and once again I had unbearable choppiness.

Any ideas on how to remove this choppiness? Any special way of installing punkbuster I should know about?

Suggestions / "O' Clock" system for vehicles.

Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if there was a little "O' Clock" indicator for vehicles so when you're hitching a ride with a tank and you spot an enemy you could easily yell out "Enemy Tank 5 O' Clock" so the tank driver would know where to look.

Yeah, the Italians are a load of fun to play, I'd love to see many more maps with them.

Ooo, environmental effects sound cool, snowing on some eastern front map or something, would add a lot to the feeling, are these kinds of effects possible with the BF2 engine?

Loled at your story Captain Pyjama Shark.

I see your point, I guess I just have a soft spot for the more dramatic aspect of playing a war game, like in FH1 invasion of Crete, I always loved sitting there in the plane waiting to jump out and assault the British, looking about hearing the German war cries right before we parachute.

You say the game is more about raw power and tactical fighting, but you have to admit, a lot of those vocal things you can have your character yell are pretty pointless tactically, but do you not enjoy the ability to yell them anyways?

Do you believe adding more rollplay/machinima elements to the game should be pursued at all? Examples would be having a disarmed mode (where you have no weapons in hand), or an "I surrender" mode kind of like the civilians in RP.

My argument for them is that it would make the game more immersive and the FH movies more enjoyable to watch and possibly more plentiful.

Obviously the main argument against them would be "it takes time out of making things more relevant to the gameplay" and "It's an FPS not an RPG"

I'm just wondering what the opinion of the other players on this subject is.

Create a game where it is just you and all the bots are on your side, then run around shooting them at different ranges, maybe the problem is you just aren't used to the different elevations you have to aim at. And if you're not that good with rifle vs rifle, maybe you should consider finding something else you might be good at, like support machine gun.

I hope for Pegasus Bridge, not that I believe it to be likely.

I'd like to see another map like Goodwood, only focused more on the town and not those outlying flags, maybe make it a tankless map.

It would also be nice to have an American North Africa map.

And I totally agree, they need to remove that grenade warning.

Funny story (kinda), I was on Goodwood and we (the British) were having a hard time, so I formed a fireteam and snuck around the back of town (held by the Germans) so that my fireteam could use me as a close spawn point for assaulting the town, so I'm hiding there and then one of my fireteam members comes rolling up with an APC that practically has a "WE'RE OVER HERE" sign on it and parks right next to me, I tell him to take it away and then he says this...

Maybe you'd have to have been in my situation, but I found it funny that I'm trying my best to be unseen and then he pulls up and uses the APC's camouflage as an excuse for his complete lack of stealth.
