Bazooka and Panzerschreck smoke trails
« on: 29-08-2010, 14:08:07 »
Title says it all.
I was wondering if we could get more smoke. Something similar to the 88's smoke after shot. If the rockets used a propellent it needs to have more smoke coming out of the tube.

I think it was mentioned before, and I'm probably opening a new thread for nothing. But what the heck. We can delete it if necessary.

I'd support adding a larger puff of smoke to the area where the weapon was fired, after all I'm assuming that 1-2 second delay before the shot actually fires represents the round accelerating in the tube, so there should be some build up of smoke.

Even the faust wasn't as smokeless as it is game, I think... Or at least, that's not what the videos say

I don't know about that. It was only a spring inside, so I don't really think it produced some smoke, but I CAN be wrong.

So where's all this smoke :P

In this case the smoke coming out of the 88 should be also reduced if we don't have smoke from the RLs.

Um, faust wasn't a spring, it was a recoiless rifle....  The spring was the PIAT.

I think Kev is a bit reluctant to add more effects after he hit that wall with the muzzle flashes. Other than that, the smoke trail was one of the drawbacks of all Rocket weaponry, so I don't see why it couldn't be increased a bit.
