Forgotten Honor & World at War team up
« on: 22-07-2012, 22:07:31 »

The Forgotten Hope Mod 2 for Battlefield 2 is well known for it's high quality maps, gameplay and attention to detail. It is backed by a lively community of gamers from across the world who enjoy realistic but fun World War 2 combined arms gameplay. For almost a decade, two communities have been taking the gameplay of Forgotten Hope to the next level by running organized campaigns focused on teamwork, tactics, coordination and a competitive experience as well as offering custom maps, equipment and unique gameplay features.

Forgotten Honor has been playing Forgotten Hope 1 & 2 campaigns since their founding in 2004. It's currently running FH 1 Campaign 14, has recently concluded FH2 Campaign 11 and has been expanding successfully to several different games in the recent past. The World at War Tournament has been hosting campaigns on the Battlefield platform since 2002: from BF1942, FH1 to FH2. Campaign 25 on FH2 ended only recently.

Now, Forgotten Honor (F|H) and World at War (WaW) are proud to announce a partnership to bring an even better tournament experience to Forgotten Hope 2. This partnership will be kicked off by a joint F|H & WaW public Forgotten Hope 2 event featuring our best maps and custom equipment.

But we intend to take this joint venture even further and are currently planning a joint F|H & WaW Forgotten Hope 2 campaign that is meant to bring the best features of both tournaments together and ensure competitive, fun, teamwork-based gameplay on full servers - playing the best maps from both tournaments using custom equipment and minimod gameplay enhancements.

This partnership and the new campaign are being organized under the simple yet fitting name: FH2Tournament

Both WaW and F|H look forward to a very exciting time for the FH2 tournaments and the FH2 community as a whole.

What a great idea guys! It's great to see the two tournaments working together like this! Any ballpark timeframe for when the combined tournament/campaign will take place? I may actually have consistent, reliable access to a good gaming computer in thr upcoming few weeks and may finally be able to join up!

No.
Yeah, didn't you hear they already signed a deal with Sony?

Secret weapon of Nintendo, they dressed Flippy like a goomba.

Good for the Tournies though, I might actually have time for once, instead of signing up for WaW a billion times and not having time.

After having played both I am gonna have to go with the folks at WaW on this one. ;)   And of course FH2 is going to be a Sony exclusive, screw the shitbox-360.

Always enjoyed the unique maps and loadouts from F|H and the people and command structure at WaW.  So it looks like I can have my cake and eat it to.  If you have ever been on the fence about doing a tourney I think this will be a campaign not to be missed.
