About the topic, would be historically acurate/gameplay interesting/balanced/umbalanced, if we give binoculars to the support class?
In Africa, give the AT kits binocs. In Normandy, give the MG kits binocs.

Would be very accurate for the support class to get them.

The way I use the Bren gun (mostly in NA) to suppress the enemy,
I switch to single firing mode, fire 2-3 shots a the time. This way you save ammo and you don't give away your position to easily.
If I miss my target on the first shot, I get him with the second when he take a peek to look where the shot is from.  ;)

I have been playing a lot of 2.2. and i see these jucy tripods lying around all over the place. Is it worth using a browning .30 cal on a server with 20 players? Any deployment tips for these circumstances?

Don't try to deploy in a window or in the door of a bunker. First doesn't work and when you get in, you won't be able to leave (unless when you die). Second blocks the bunker and if it's a spawnpoint, then nobody is able to leave the bunker (seen this on Mareth Line).

i placed a lafette MG42 inside a building on libisey.
couldt get out anymore, but still gathered 15 kills. instead of flanking and knifing my ass a squad tried 3 times a frontal assault.

Good suppression of a .30 on a trench or bunker, followed by inf. moving up and using grenades, then the .30 shifting fire as the inf. take the objective...... a thing of beauty.

Aslo something I imagine you will rarely ever see on a pub..

Depends on who you get manning it....  If its someone like me, be it a lafette, vickers, or 30, I will do just that ;)

One of few things that make Tunis unbalanced is the British Bren gunner. Even the bots could give a group of quite experienced players a whoop ass. The most fearsome opposition in SP games are British, because of their Bren guns. Throwing smoke grenades to blind them (like the bots do to every MGers) wouldn't work because they could have just Rambo-gun the weapon.

LOL, too much realism and "teeem work" on that squad. They should have just send one man and lobs in a grenade into your building. It is my solution to seemingly "impenetrable fixed MG defense position", riflenades would be much better.

The germans can still happily camp and get way more kills then the allies.
