Question about adding Parts in Editor
« on: 25-08-2009, 05:08:01 »
Hoi,

I want to know: Can i add new Parts to Vehicles with the Editor, then the parts are in diferent .cons.

Example is it possible to add Machine Canons to a Bf109, without import the whole Model. Only adding a MK Model to the 109?

And how works this, if it works =D

I think they are possible, i mean, the devs dindt made a complete new model of the Ju87G Stuka whit these Cannons, i think they simply took the StukaB-2 Model and added the cannons. If you understand what i meen...

And they are gunpods, basically, for Bomber Hunting.. pretty badass. Same whit the Mk18 Nosecannon.

It shouldn't be hard. Just import the model using the tools, then model your gunpods and attach them to the main mesh. Since you imported the model from FH2 the hierarchy is already set up, just hit the export button, then tweak the code.

If i would do this with Tanks, i would get problems with the Tracks und cols are lost ???
The example for this would be the calliope.
I want export only the "Weapon" or maybe a "Flag" and add this at the Editor, i asked cause i know nothing about this. The Prop of Airplanes is often added in the Edtior and have his own .con etc.

I want only know the Edtior way nothing about 3ds max or tools  :)

Just add this like any other template. In editor you do this like this: right-clikc on element in hierarchy that you want attach new child to, then you select "add existing child". Next, you select the template from the mod folder structure :)

Remember that the template you want to add has to have "objecttemplate.saveinseparatefile 1".
