I can tell you for sure that there are much simpler models of fire arms...
As Mudra said,a Sten is much simpler.

As Toddel say: If you can't write your name on the UVW-unwrap it's good.
In other words you should "stack" your pieces better, you have too much unused space. And I don't think you have all polygons laid out right.

this model could use a LOT !!!! improvements. you could delete mx 20% off the polys without changine the shape in any way.

you have a lot room for improvements. Keep on !

I downloaded the model for coding practice. The main model is nice but the cols look weird, how did you make them?

Actually I am working again on the main model to improve it.
I will also make real lods...
