86 degrees or lower is classified as "Stage 3 Hypothermia," so there are supposedly some people who have survived once their body temperature got their low...or least have been documented with a temp that low. I know it's wiki, but anything that isn't current events-related is usually at least somewhat reliable:

Anyway, I run at a stable 98.8 most of the time (I run a little hot, probably why I like to keep the A/C running in my room even during winter, however I was recently told I wasn't allowed to run it when there's snow on the ground, so I have to keep it on "Fan" now). No need for shotguns here.
