I will get surgeru in a month or so, to remove 15cm of my intestine. Crohns disease has ravaged it.. But i might be completly cured

When i heard that, i was quite devestating. But i was able to stay over at a sweet friend of mine, the most cuddliest girl i ever met. And it really calmed me down

But i am so fucking batshit scared of this operation...

Today is Veteran's Day, and apparently my house is on the route for the flyovers, so I get to see:

- Catalina airboat
- Spitfire
- something which looked like a Hellcat
- F16s
- Lancaster (I think, I almost missed it)

 :)

Had a guided tour today of the USS Truxton, a relative new active US Navy guided missile destroyer. Quite interesting to see how things go on an active warship.

2 years ago, i went to a fun fair. At a simple archery range, i fell in love with archery. Not only did i enjoyed it alot, i felt like i was good at it aswel. The man owning the range, saw how i shot, and said i had the natural feeling for archery. He brought his professional competition bow, and a 15cl coke can. He said "pull aim and fire as fast as you can"   Wich i did in 2 seconds and hitted the coke can straight in the middle. Then we both realised we had to use an empty can as coke sprayed all over the frikking range...

A month ago, i finnaly decided to get myself a bow, arrows and a way to shoot at it. My backyard is pretty big so shouldnt have any problems. Might went a bit to far by placing the target at 30 meters already but my first shots arent to shabby, if i say so myself

(please not i was not aiming at any specific target, i had my aim fixed on the middle. my shots went off to the left but i also made mistakes by not respecting the odd-colored fletchling. the odd colored fletchling is supposed to be pointed towards me and AWAY off the bow. Second try i did this, and my accuracy improved alot)

That's a cool man, archery is really fun, I've shot the bow a bit and have been thinking for a while about getting one of my own whem I'm slightly less broke. Looks like you've got a nice setup there, what's the draw weight on that bow? 30-40lb?

Its reasonably heavy for a beginners bow, according to the manual its 45 pounds.

i have been trying to estimate how far it can shoot and yesterday it reached 80meters with no problems at all. i didnt even elevated alot nor pulled all the way back. i used 31 inch long carbon fiber arrows.

i managed to zero in the sights and getting great accuracy. Currently shooting accurate in a 100mm area at 20 meters. Kill the zombies!

45 is still quite hefty bow  and yeah you don't want to overdo it and go too heavy with draw weight, it's hard to be accurate and develop a proper technique when you struggle with pulling the bow back all the time.

That's not bad! ;D, good luck honing your skills.

Why not a compound bow? much easier especially if you "staande wip" shoot at targets at the top of a pole.

its personal preference i guess.. I really dont like the pulleys (katrollen). I have an image of a bow, and it has to look like it

Im an old school guy when it comes to weapons. If a man approached me and said "you can choose between a springfield M1903 or an Fully equipped and loaded AR 15 with scope and 5000 rounds of ammo" i would still pick the springfield

I think a recurve is a better option for someone who starts out with archery, you can get a good quality recurve much cheaper so there's less initial investment, especially if someone isn't sure if archery is their thing, and after they get the hand of things they can buy something more expensive or requiring more care (traditional bow/compound/really good recurve)

Once i properly masterd the skill of archery we can move on to a expensive recurve bow. I will disdain from massive modern looks tough

Me dad knows a teacher in Arc trapping, wich is in a way, kinda like biathlon. You do a course, targets appear, you take em out, you go to the finish line.

Hallo  ;D

I am in grad school now, which is happy, but it hasn't given me much time to goof off.  I went to a reenactment last week as a Soviet infantryman and it has really made me want to get back to FH2!
