what a charming person, im sooo sad. also when a person is 98 years old i think its not a sad thing, better be happy, because most people dont even get that old.  ::)

Yea ask any aircrew if they have any regrets over the bombings of metropolitan areas and half of them will say we did what we had to do and the other half will say hell no they had it coming to them. Its just the way things were back then, and when your drafted into fighting a country that starts shit dragging you away from your life youd probably feel the same way. 

Also rip miss Wake.

What a remarkable woman I can't believe I have never heard her story before  :o

Defying the Gestapo like that is incredible, what a life she has led. May she rest in peace.
