Christmas 2012 - Roer River 1944

Hey guys,

I've been working on a small map with a Christmas theme to it. Something along the lines of Roer River 1944.

Trying to replicate what might have happened one night in the snowy forests of Europe 1944. Just basically a small army outpost in the woods where players can hang around and have fun.

Would be cool if I could get a serv up and running with the map on Christmas day itself lol

I dig this idea... if you can get it done maybe it can be organized into an event. Anything that brings the community together is a good idea imo

I'd love for the map to be of Christmas Eve, at night! Nothing more magical than Christma Eve

I also think it would be real fun to do non-shooting things. Something different from the typical battleground. You know, peace and goodwill, snow gently falling, have some campfires going. Christmassy stuff!

There could be some activities to keep people around:
-Jeep races
-Bicycles, Tractors, civilian cars
-Give people flare guns (Ooooh! Aaahhhh!)
-Scout plane stunts
-Some record players playing "Silent night" (in German of course).
-Sturmboots if it's by the river.

Any other cool non-lethal ideas?

I would suggest some sort of target shooting contest, a turkey shoot or a fence with bottles on it.

But then of course, if you give these guys guns, they will use them on each other...

I agree. Those are very nice ideas.

 Someone should take a vanilla BOTB map and make an expanded version, like Eppeldorf would be perfect.

 An Epp 64 night map with more flags & modded for 128. Maybe an objective mode.
