funny enough, i just thought of posting the same idea :) how about a map with all the tanks so the player can have some fun with them? just put all the game's tanks, unlocked and let the player shoot at dummy targets (all sorts of stuff just lying here and there)

there are a lot of things in PR that are not realistic - just frustrating....
PR is ok, but FH2 is better. You don't have to wait for hours until someone gets in your tank as driver, and you don't have comm issues with that player. In all the (short) time I've played PR, I ran into just 1 guy who knew what he was doing as a tank driver.
the whole squad thing is nice with the kits and stuff, but it's not always fun. PR is good only as the other players are. If you're one hell of a sportsman, with cooperation to and fro, its ok; but if you get landed with bunch of solo-ers, there's nothing much you can do, even when the game so called forces you to cooperate. sometimes, it just doesn't work.

I'm driving around in my tank, when i reach a British stronghold which is surrounded with mine.
I pop out my mine sweeper but nothing happens. It doesn't buzz or anything, but still when i drive in with my tank - I get killed by a mine. Am I missing something?

That's already implemented. When using a binocular it reads 'Auto' in the middle which is your old 'spotted'.

yes, but you need  binoculars for that. what if you're in a tank and spot someone? or just a plain soldier?

well, off the top of my head I'd say that the devs have jobs, lives and etc. so they have other things on their minds too. all in all, this mod is free, and i guess they are doing it for fun so you can't complain at all.
whats more, this mod is really fun so i really don't see anything to complain about. there are lots of maps, all are enjoyable and interesting, weapon choices are realistic, and are good even though you don't have many options. this limitation is fine by me - you don't have tons of kits - just the basics and if you want something more you can pick it up at HQ.
and i have no idea what you're talking about when you say there is no variety of   vehicles - come on!
you've got lots of light inf vehicles, at least 2(!) tips of tanks in a map, apc's and planes.
the only things that are maybe missing are ships and submarines  ;D

i don't think we need more mobile AT guns - though the AT rifle is useless - you can fire at a tank for hours and nothing will happen to it, but i was more thinking about dynamic defense lines :)

i noticed that one could move some of the field guns in the game - a really fun option, but is it possible for lets say, jeeps to tow those guns? so defense positions will be a more dynamic thing?

You pretty much answered your own question right there. Also, tanks in FH2 are so much more rape now. Here's a scenario I foresee happening:

#1 Americans get DD tanks, and to balance the map the Germans get an equal number of Pz4. If both tanks are on equal spawns the Pz4 will win the fight because it holds the high ground on the beach. After it destroys the Sherman, the Pz4 uses HE to rape LCVPs and infantry coming ashore.

#2 Same as 1, but Sherman is on 5 minute delay spawn like you said. In which case Pz4 wins again, and the result is the same as 1.

#3 No Pz4 this time, and a DD Sherman for Americans. The Sherman uses HE shells to kill Mg42 gunners in the bunkers, while infantry advances at ease up the beach.



yes, but don't forget the Germans  had cannons and such in their bunkers and trenches.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I just played with you on the Siege of Tobruk map, IIRC. I sat in the leFH18 and you spotted.
Your spots became better and better during the game, just a tip:
Sometimes if you spot a tank e.g., you shouldn't aim for the tank itself, but the floor under it, because the spot might go "through" the tank and then you'll have plain desert as a spot.

yeah, it took me some time to get the hang of it, but once i did it was much fun :) i tried to locate the enemy by their shots

so i entered the 25 pounder  in my last game, but i can't understand how to aim with it.
when i'm in sight view, i see all the arrowns (elevation etc.) and when i right click i have the upper view and i see the cannon from above. so far so good, but how do i fire to long distances? how do i aim the cannon? and why the "traget:" says "none" ? any tips are welcomed
