Winchester model 12=Bajonet and kit
« on: 08-04-2010, 11:04:29 »
Yesterday, i layed my eyes and hands on a winchester Model 12, owned legally by someone i know.
He also had a bajonet for it. And i must say, the shotgun looks even better with the bajonet.

He then showed me some photo's of US troops wielding these shotguns with bajonet's
After some searching i found this

Issent this something nice to add on the rather dull shotgun kit in Normandy? Can anyone give some more info if possible (SOS Vonmudra?)

On PHL you only have a knife, shotgun and bandage.
since engineer's often wielded these weapons, how bout giving this pickup kit Compo B?

One of my favourite bayonets, still looking to aqcuire one but they are rather expensive, atleast for me. From what I know these weren't really used in WW2, but then again, I am not sure.

That is, if I remember correctly, the bayonet from the P17 Enfield.

Yup, P13 bayonet orignally came with the P14 rifle which evolved into the P17. It's such a beauty.

Yeah, its perfectly fine for it to have the bayonet.  Donno why it doesn't have one now.

M3 Bajonets(one's for garand) where used aswel on the Trench gun.

Common! Brighten up the already epic shotgun kit!

Maybe adding the long/hunting barrel version? The one we have ingame is the Trench gun. The hunting barrel would be much cooler (for xmp. Farmer kit) with longer range, but with lesser damage = balance wise.

For a farmer kit yes, but troops almost always got the short barreld version

But that means making a new weapon. Making a bajonet attachment for the shotgun shouldnt take long

The shotguns mounted the bayonet from the M1917 Enfield.  I know kev has already done it once for NML, so I doubt it will take that long at all.
