They seem quite the miserable bunch. And the one on the left looks like a doll. Lol.

Well, maybe they were forced to fight in a war that doesn't really matter to them and their families.

I just read Franz Kurowski's The Brandenburgers: Global Mission about the Brandenburg German Special Forces unit. I first found out about this unit in one of the mods for HoI II, where they could be attached to the division and was wondering what kind of unit was this. The book shows the full spectrum of operations led by Abwehr and the Brandenburgers on many fronts, though I would be more happy if the author would put some quotations from the interviews he conducted with the members of the unit. Generally it was a good book and had many interesting facts. Everyone knows British commandoes or American rangers, but there are few who know about Brandenburgers.

I tried reading The Forgotten Soldier, by Guy Sajer, but for some reason I am stuck around the middle.

Almost finished Hans von Luck's Mit Rommel an der Front (ENG) Panzer Commander.

Am looking for some books showing the war from Soviet perspective now.

Really, democracy shouldn't be run on less educated country. It happens very often here in Indonesia as well. When will the idiotic "democracy" franchiser learn? You need to establish educated people first, before turning a country's governance into democratic system.

Ok, so what is the other option? Dictatorship? Communism? Problem with our modern world is that even though democracy has lots of flaws and is not what it was supposed to be, there is no other system that can be established instead. I know what you mean, though I live in the centre in Europe. I to disagree that democracy is the best political system ever, but there's no other option, at least none that would be in any case better.

I hope you'll deal with your gov in Brazil and in Turkey, remember though that this are democracies, which means that people chose those who rule them. You too!
