Bring cash. Not all places accept credit cards and such.

Unfair comparison between a Krag Jørgensen and a FN Minimi. The bandolier is supposedly Swedish, but I'm not sure. Perhaps some of you know better.

...

Sure looks Swedish. I've got one myself.

There were no BAR's in Finland AFAIK. They don't have a pistol grip anyway. And the SMG is just a Suomi KP31 with what looks like a box mag. However, it could also be a captured PPD-40.

Well, the swedish BARs had a pistolgrip, and Sweden sent quite a few weapons to Finland, mostly rifles, but perhaps also some KG m/21.

Guys,I need to know ASAP if there is a surplus store in Stockholm.Found some in Sweden but all are way up north.

Might be late, but it's the best I can do: http://www.rodastjarnan.com/butik
Address Drottningholmsvägen 17, 112 42 STOCKHOLM

It's at Kungsholmen, same island as City hall.

Good, thanks for the info! Do any of you know any surplus stores at Stockholm? And if there are tanks, ships or planes museums at the city?

There's at least one "surplus" store, rodastjarnan.com, located at Kungsholmen. For what I know, the only museum that has military stuff in Stockholm is the army museum http://www.sfhm.se/ArmeDefaultPage.aspx?id=27&epslanguage=SV
If you want to see tanks I recommend Arsenalen http://www.arsenalen.se/index.php/en/, located outside Strängnäs. I don't know if it is possible to go there without a car thu.

I liked that place at the black dot, but that was before so many people found out where it was...
I'd recommend Spotiys HQ, but you wont get in without an invitation.

When the Germans invaded Norway, it took almost a week before the Swedish army got to the border. They had almost no at-weapons, and almost no MGs. Tanks was rare, and compared to the development in Germany, it went slow with the build up, and in the late war, we had nothing compared to the panther for example.
I'd say Sweden was about 2 years after the development in the rest of the world through out the war.

I think that Tamiya would be a good starter brand. I find them easy to assemble, but I think they lack details. However, I know that lots of people love that brand as they are easy to work with.

Personally I use Revells Contacta glue. Tamiya also make their own glue, but I haven't tried it out. Try to use as little glue as possible, as excess glue will mess up your model.

When it comes to painting, airbrushing usually gives you the best finish, but it takes practice to master, and it comes with costs for the airbrush itself and a compressor, and so on.
Brush painting is good for details, but can of course be used instead of airbrushing for larger parts. Popular paint brands include Tamiya, Vallejo, Humbrol, and so on.

If you paint brush, be sure not to have to thick paint! Rather paint your model 4 times with diluted paint then once with thick paint!

Don't go to Svinesund/Nordby, go to Töcksfors! I was asked to go help at that restaurant back when I was working at BK.

I wanna see that bike IRL!

This site should be able to answer your questions

http://awards.fh2.ifihada.com/

Search for your in game name, then click signatures on the left.
Choosing "awards" will let you see the criteria for each award.
On the server rules page you can read more about how the servers have to be set up for awards to count.

What would be the closest distance ww2 era bazookas would be fired upon enemy tanks? Safely that is.

Now, you're talking about an American M1 "bazooka", right? If so, you don't want to get all that close. Against a tank, I would say you don't want to be closer than 15m if shooting a tank. Further than that if shooting at something concrete, brick, or masonry.

Thank you for the quick reply!
I'm making a small diorama (perhaps to be posted in the military modelling thread) and I was planing to have an american antitank team ambushing a StuG, but I'll have to rethink it then.
