One of the biggest flaws of Forgotten Hope is the small player base in North America. I think the primary reason for this is the lack of advertisement. I am well aware that the Forgotten Hope 2 team does not get paid for their amazing work and the cost of traditional advertisement is expensive.

During the 2.26 release of Forgotten Hope 2 I tried my best to work with several people on the forums, urging them to post topics and show screenshots in other forums to spread the word. I still believe that more people would play this amazing mod if they only knew about it. With the initial releases I remember some very cool instructional videos were posted on youtube. Over the last couple years some amazing wallpapers have been made as well. These were great ways to promote the mod.

While no one but the mod team knows when 2.3 will release, I would like for us to work together as a community, with the mod team, to come up with some ways of promoting FH2 better. I am confident we can come up with some clever ways to help drive people to try out Forgotten Hope 2. Please post any ideas you guys have and we can discuss!

FH's youtube channel is a link you could and should spam all over the net. It has positive power.

One idea that I had is a further embrace in social media. Does the FH2 mod team have a Twitter yet? That could be another way to help the mod go a bit viral.

I think one of the most "viral" and effective video is the transformer one from back in the days. That video has attracted more wtf comments on youtube than the rest combined ;)

I really did like that Transformers video!  ;D

On the Twitter hatred, I am not a strong advocate for it, but it serves my clan as an effective way of communicating short updates or events. For Forgottten Hope it could announce news updates, upcoming Forgotten Honor Tournaments, and other community events such as the Community Game Night. I would say that any method that helps to get more people  informed and into the game is a good thing.

well, all the 'smart' and 'teamplay-loving' gamers are going for PR, and we will most likely get a fair bit of the refuse.

Well lets try to keep on topic, this isnt about zombies, or fh mod balance, or project reality. Lets focus on getting more players and coming up with good ideas to achieve this. I would even like to get some input from the fh devs.

I think Twitter would be a great Idea. It's a great medium for Companies or Game Dev's to get information out, or keep the people updated.
