Fun With Sound
« on: 19-09-2009, 12:09:32 »
Using some existing FH2 content, and tweaking some code I've just been havin' fun fiddling around with sound code.

Once again Im puzzled why on earth wont you just apply to become a dev or tester as you obviously have some skill that could be put into good use, instead of going around and getting nowhere with these things??

I agree with Flippy. As it is now I've allready started on a total sound rework for the mods distance sounds and some other ambient sounds. It is nice that you edit the content of the mod on your own, but as Flippy says, it will be left on your harddrive unless you apply to become a dev. If that is what you want, then do that, but this phase of the mod is soon done and will be in the next patch allready.
Surely more sound works will be needed, but at the moment we are almost done with this.

I guess what Flippy meant is that it seems like a waste doing great work just for yourself.. it is like someone modelling a Tiger tank by his own, sure nice to learn it, but we wouldn't replace Toddels Tiger for it, even if it was better/nicer than his.  :)

Heh, my brother is there somewhere.  That tells me that this apparently doesn't interfere with PB, which is kinda weird...

I agree with everyone else that you should stop hoarding your talent and start sharing it with everyone.  ;D  I don't know why you haven't already...

Yea Archi, you should totally become a Dev for FH2. We all know how your work ethic would give a huge boost to the Fh2 Project.

Archi doesn't really focus on 1 thing, he does bits and pieces everywhere, I think thats why he isn't a dev. Plus he loves to mess around, right?  ;)

You either really hate me or are extremely pesimistic. You have not even considered why I posted this in the mods forum.

No, I dont hate you. Why would I say you should apply to dev or at least tester position if I hated you?
