I saw a docu on it, purley by chance I think Sellers was supposed to play the pilot as well, but was ill or something, and Slim Pickens happened to be in the studius at the time, and.................took on the role Major Kong Rides the Bomb  ;D

Sellers had pain in his ankle and didn't want to crawl around in the tight space of that B-52, but most people believe he simply thought 3 roles where enough already and didn't feel to do another one  :P

Though Slim Pickens is the best pick ever, love that guy.

Yep, one of the best movies in history. Hats of to Kubrick for everything he ever made.

MOON
Proves that watching one guy on a mining base on the far side of the moon can be quite compelling. Lovely CGI-lite old school sci-fi story by the son of Ziggy Stardust.

I second that. An awesome movie. Perhaps not for everyone and definitely not for people with a short attention span, but for scifi fans and people who like it a bit weirder. GO WATCH IT!

Very good movie, I recommend it as well. Finally a movie besides all the hollywood blockbuster crap worth watching.

Like moon, this movie is something special, not because of it effects and famous actors, but because of the simplicity and genuine of the plot. If you like SF movies and low budget Britain movies I can highly recommend this one. A story you won´t forget for a long time.

Had the best idea a few hours ago

Why haven't  I seen There will be blood lately?

The best movie to be released during 2000 and 2010, with no doubt IMHO

Just watched Sahara a TV movie remake of the Humphrey Bogart movie from the 40's starring James Belushi in Bogart's role

It got that typical Made for TV movie feeling you know but it's only about one hour and 30 minutes long and pretty OK so well worth the watch a lazy evening, James Belushi is great as the boss of the M3 Lee also known as Lulubelle

The story is just as weak as in the original, but still a charming flick.

Can I then recommend Oliver Stone's Salvador to you? If you haven't already seen it of course. Jim Belushi made a lot of crap but this is easily his best performance, imo.

And not to start a useless discussion but I wouldn't call Sahara's story weak. Since it's an analogy for the desert war at that time the story can be called "contrived" but weak? Never really experienced it like that.

Haha, I did that too Capten, shameless scammers on Amazon..

And thanks Mud, it's a title I know but never watched, on the to watch list with so many other movies.

Anyone seen 1941? John Belushi and Slim Pickens, decided to rewatch it and simply 8/10.

Forgot to mention!

Watched 300 again the other day

That movie is just so awesome, it's such a non-chick flick but still it's awesome and not geeky and nerdy. It's about warriors being warriors and not being weird about it.

THIS IS SPARTAAAAAA

Hmmm, yes it ain't geeky and nerdy, but it was made for men who like chiseld sixpacks and men all grouped together with little less than a loincloth and red cloak for clothes. ;)
