So, which country do you prefer to play as?
Do you prefer to fight for King and Country, or are those Italian feather helmets just too sexy to ignore? Do you desire the lafette to be in you, or is it a case of 'America, fuck yeah!'
Me personally, its those Italians, with their super sexy weaponry. Just the breda 30 alone would make me teamswitch for them, and they have a whole arsenal!

I play whatever team the majority of my clanmembers get in, axis or allied. But if I must pick one country I must say Italy, the rifles and their SMG are just awesome. I love the MG with that weird mag and those instant explosive grenades are just perfect to get a nice score with.
If I can choose one allied country also I would pick Canada, love their voices and the Sten is decent to use also. :)

Germans it is with their heavy cats, fast Messerschmidts, powerful assault rifles and semi-automatic sniper rifles. Powerful machine guns are also something that takes me to German side.
Though M1928 Thompson is something that makes me want to play as Brits sometimes or the American M1 Garand that will hit you target no matter what (Damn i really want scoped M1 Garand that would be my fav weapon).

Mostly I go where kind people are. If you give me free choice.. Italy. Fun maps are with the Italians. Love the Breda 30, Red Devil and the Beretta SMG and pistol. They are the most fun to play.

I noticed that best soldiers in real, like finnes are also very good in FPS games, they just rox.
I don`t know why they teach ppl in school mainly about russia, america, germany ,GB and france. They did much in War in strategic way. But ok I have to say that their soldiers were just not the best. France (dont wanna to ofend anyone) with army similar power to germany fellt as fast as poland. But poland had nothing. Only modern thing in this army was "Łoś" mid bomber, but they had only 16... and maybe 7TP tank, it was similar to pz3 but again, not much of them saw action. Same with finns. Come on, The ta picture just say everything. And about polish pilots in britain, british hq didnt belived that they can do so much on hurricanes as brits in spits. They had sent their officer to check arent they faking em. When he came back he said "deamn thoose poles realy do it!"

Mostly depends on who is attacking.. I only defend in lost causes... hmm.. that generally points to Germans and Yanks for attack, Brits for defense, Never found an Italian gun that I liked...

I'm surprised this many people vote for the Italians. Their weaponry really sucks. E.g. the Breda can't be fired except when unfolded. The submachinegun's rate of fire is always defeated by the Thompson. And then you have that grenade that exploded on IMPACT instead of time which caused many a teamkill to the Italians. I remember my first time when I tried to 'bounce' the grenade out of a window. Did I mention their ugly and horribly underpowered and underarmoured 'tanks' yet? Everyone knows the Italians aren't exactly born fighters. They spend time flourishing their gardens and making silly hats, and flirting with women on the plaza. They don't really want to fight. Who would want to anyway with that great weather there? That's why they are defeated time after time. Like the French, who never won a war in their existence.

Anyway, Italy + France rock. France had the best tanks of the interwar period by far beating any other nation in design. They only used the wrong tactics. Plus their hinder was politics, agressive formation lay outs where politically incorrect. Italy had bad organization, bad funds, but good soldiers. Their morale dropped because their equipment sucked. Then you surrender.

If the maginot line was not build, things would have been far diffrent during WW2.
The amount of resources spended in it would have made France his army FAR and far larger and better equipped

France probably lost, to sum up some things, because ineffective tank cannons on most tanks, short barrelled 37mm is just not doing the job. Long barreled 47mm was a huge improvement but not enough of them around. Not enough medium/heavy tanks and all tanks where deployed wrong. Ineffective Maginot Line because of politics and not a large airforce to support the ground troops.

If the Fortresses did their job, they would have severly slowed down the germans. If the Maginot line stretched towards Belgium, and we Belgians did the same, it would have been far difficult for the germans.
The germans where very lucky aswel. Just as we attempt to blow up the Vital bridges, they knock out our cannon. When we sended 8 Fairy battle's to destroy the bridge, the germans JUST had aircover and AA fire.
We Lower countries dint do bad though. We Belgians lacked tanks. The Dutch, while very well motivated, dint had much equipment at all. And the French army dint had good communication and Tactics.
Still, we won the war in the end.Thats all that matters

I voted for Italians simply because playing as them is something new and refreshing and I'm finding lots of joy shooting with Carcanos and blasting aussies with those red devils. I'm so sick and tired playing as Americans and Germans, shooting with Thompsons and Garands which I have done last 8 years playing multiple different WWII war games. You can guess how disappointed I was when I read that Ardennes is going to be next theatre (well of course no _official_ answer yet) though I 100% understand the reason behind it.
I keep on hoping that someday I'll see the French forces in FH2, since they were my favourite in FH1 (just loved their rifle and tanks). And of course it would be great to see Finns and Huns as well.

1)the Maginot line is one of the biggest waists of money in human history. I'm very happy my govnment didn't invest in it.
2) soldiers did their job in the fortresses. hollow charges where simply unknown and caused terror along the troops.
3) not every belgian surrendered a la eben emael. Belgian fortresses were actually the best of their time, but a fortress was simply outdated.

The low countries missed a military tradition, witch also contributes to their failure. failure of france should infact be called failure of the allies in general, as france isn't the only one to blame.

Well, playing as Italians has style, their voices are awesome even though they are terribly wrong as pointed out by Italians. Their uniforms with feathers look awesome, freshly imported from Milan. But the best thing obviously is the weapon. The Breda although short on ammo is a very accurate ambush MG. I love it on Giarabub, lay on a corner and ambush sneaky Brits. The pistol is a great close quarters weapon, accurate and deadly, as is the SMG which is officially the best in game. The rifles have great sights which make them very easy to use, point and fire with alot of space to look at, though No4 sights are also very comfortable I don't really notice that anymore with the 3D sights so now I generally like the Carcano or M1 Carbine.

I play whatever the server says I should play. However, on some maps I prefer to play a certain side, for example Americans on PHL or British on Goodwood.

German bias does it for me (being from co-belligerent - at least from '41 to '44 - Finland). There is just something special in the menacing shapes of the German tanks, uniforms and whatnot. Just looking at those sexy things makes it easy to understand why so many were attracted by Nazism back at the day. Another reason is the general attractiveness of being the "bad" guy (like, how many players ever stayed on the light side in the SP mode of the Jedi Knight games?), or in many cases, the underdog. Plus the K98k is hands-down the best rifle in the game. Oh, and the kittahs.
Though, as of late, I have played mostly Allies for a change, in order not to get bored with strictly German-only thing.

Nothing gets my blood going like running into battle screaming DEUTSCHLAND!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, their weapons are awesome the K98 is the rifle, and I ride panthers as much as I can. Other than that, being the bad guy is more fun, and I will also say that in my opinion, the best smg's are Italian, and they are the second best faction

France won WW1 for one, and If you didn't know many conflicts have been won by France. It seems like you need to read a history book.

Why you ask, simply put: Awesome rifles. The Carcano is my favorite rifle in FH2, no doubt. I can hit anything with that rifle in my hands. And the grenades! Don't get me started on the AWESOME NADES as I call them. Grenades filled with AWESOME, who also explodes on impact and fills a big area full of AWESOME

Dude i even had a dream about the Semovente Da 149/40. It was included on FH2, in a late 1944 Map. It was sooo slow, i remember all of the Fh2 fans were saying it was shit because alot of garands can kill you, since it has no protection for its crew.

Nearly every single military on this planet now uses the German WW2 model, equipment derived from the equipment the Germans used, tactics, and even the look and style of German military gear.

Voted for Italy, I love their weapons. If I'm playing alone I just play on whatever side I am but I prefer axis for 2 reasons.
1. They don't really have anything I hate, unlike British No.1 SMLE or Yankee Garand. Also I hate shermans in normandy, they are just too weak in everything. At africa they are fine for me :).
2. When I play with my friends (4 of us), it's always more easy to get on axis side, as all new players go automatically to allied side if teams are even in numbers. So if 4 people join server at same time, most likely 2 goes to axis and 2 to allied. And whenever new player comes in, one allied player can channge to axis ;D

I only like the Australians when I get to be one of the classes that wears those cool slouch hats. Early war maps have way cooler hats than late war hats, which is why I enjoy the Italians, and I guess the Germans are cool in that regard too.
