Ok, to be perfectly honest, the trailer does look kinda cool. The setting is meh, but the rest is alright. CoD always had pretty cool singleplayer campaigns, even though they were quite short.
I´ll probably do what I did with the last CoDs: "organize" the game for the SP campaign and then after finishing it after 5 hours will uninstall it again.

The only things that annoy me are that it´s a Treyarch game and that they´ll probably want a full price for an ultra-short SP campaign and a crappy MP.

The horse riding scene reminded me a bit about the first few days of the 2001 Afghanistan war. US operators used horses when they moved together with Northern Alliance members through Afghanistan, even though the trailer made it look like some over-stylized cavalry charge. ^^
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,

Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Call of Duty: 2142

I lol'd.

Seriously they need to do something new not recycle the same old concepts on the same old engine...

'Mechs and whatnot in 2025? Yeah, right. ;D

Oh well, the CoD franchise has been getting more and more ludicrous sequel by sequel, so this kinda fits with the rest of the hyperbole. Not interested.

Also, what's with the obsession of cramming dubstep in every game trailer?

"They'll always need men like us. Those who are willing to do... what others cannot."

But those men are apparently not willing to put an end to this overblown franchise...

Love how these modern day FPS trailers hardly have any "look kids, this is how it will play" POV footage in them anymore. It's all scripted scenes, over-edited setpieces and explosions. It was the same with the BF3 trailer. You watch it and in the end you're like "okay, but how does the game look"...

And when are we finally gonna have mecha-walkers in the armed forces? Will that be before, or after portable jetpacks?
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

To me, every CoD Game after Cod 4 is shit. Within MW 1 they began to make some supercool superspecial high technological warfare crap out of the games, because they needed any kind of innovation. To me it is totally bullshit.

And I used to love Cod2 and 4. Such good, simple shooters back then with less of supercool specials.

And I hate future-games with that robot stuff. Seriously, this is not atmospheric at all. I always want to have and deal with real weapons. Amazing how the CoD developers manage to make every game worse than the other. But idc, after CoD 4, CoD died for me.

Determing the SP campaign. They are usually cool, that's true. But look at the length of the CoD 2 campaign, which probably was less awesome in terms of scripted specials and effects, but was pretty long and I loved it. But those campaigns got shorter and shorter by time. Awesome for sure, but no need to play them again.

At least it's not "modern warfare" any more. I just hope that they go really over the top with technology.

This looks OK to me:

According to this article the game will range from the 80s to the year 2025. During the "past"-campaign players will fight among other things in Nicaragua and Afghanistan, which sounds kinda interesting.
I´ll definately not pay for it, but take the SP campaign as some "hi-speed tacti-cool tons of explosions"-frag fest and will uninstall it afterwards. Just as I did with every CoD.
