I hate the way 9gag misuses memes and totally ignores what they are actually representing, plus I find most of the 9gag crap to also overuse memes (to the point at which the entire joke is just memes built on memes).

History of everything and Justin Beiber? That's like hipster reasoning. It's like a long read of some nerd telling us fairytale of "before memes went mainstream."

I read something awful, failblog, and YTMND like almost everytime i'm in the internet. But talking to other 99% people in your real life seems weird, and those memes doesn't seem to connect. Every "forever alone" guy will feel empowered by this. But a healthy, sociable people feel something wrong.

9gag is created by an ex-Hong Kong banker, and they were meant to upload jokes and stuffs. If the users overflood the site with tired jokes and internet memes, than so be it. They never claim to be the source of the memes anyway. Where's that accusation came from? Even Know Your MEME didn't credit "What People Think I Do/What I Really Do" meme to 9gag.
