Radio Communication Opel Blitz
« on: 02-01-2013, 18:01:50 »
For the English commander we have the Dorchester radio vehicle. So why not have an alternative for the Axis instead of a captured Mammut? I suggest having an Opel Blitz with radio equipment. Something like this:

It does look cool, doesnt it? I think it also might be a special improvement for Africa maps. We could have both static and driveable versions of it. Have more photos? Dont hesitate to post!

Cheers!

Actually, if you think about it, this isn't just good for NA. Other than the captured Mammoth the Germans only have the Sd.Kfz. 250 halftrack radio vehicle. I bet you something like this Opel radio truck would go great in Russia (in fact I think that photo you posted was taken in Russia).

I think it would be a great idea!

Who says it can't be warm in Russia?
As for the suggestion, I guess as a static it would be kinda cool, but driveable? :-\
Did that thing work without the antenna in real? If not, it's nothing more than a another simple Opel Blitz. ^^

Well, there are smaller antenna versions which do  not require the set up process:

Not bad. Would be a good replacement to that Mammuth, that looks like a milk delivery truck on steroids...

That mammuth is very special to the story of Rommel's Afrika korps.

also, the old german Command car was lost in the infamous crash from years back.

Well, lets keep the Mammuth, but on less maps (since its a captured vehicle) and have the Radio Com. Opel blitz?
