Title: Effectiveness of angling armour?

Can someone please tell me if angling a tank can help its survivability in FH2?

Angling might help under certain scenarios, but this tactic usually exposes your side armor and a round landing on the turret or chassis side can equal a knock-out, especially coming from a high velocity gun capable of penetrating a medium tank armor at any angle/distance. I recommend testing at the Firing Range, shooting the tanks at various ranges, angles.

The game physics can act a bit more random against moving targets and that's what makes the whole tanking business fun, at times  8)

You need pretty high angle, around 60 degrees. Exposing the side a bit can lure an inexperienced tanker to deflect his shot from the side armor.
