Downloading now at work while we speak. ~3 hours on the 2.9gb part and ~2 hours on the 1.7gb part.
I have not played FH2 in about a year and a half. After my recent format and reinstall of my OS, I came back for this.

I haven't found any 2.46 links anywhere (other than what's been posted above), only found 2.45 links in the download section of the site. Just wanted to make sure you weren't downloading the wrong version :).

Nah, there's a 2 part direct download link (the one officer seems to be using), and a one part torrent link (the one AD is dling) both should be 2.46.
And i'm so fucking stoked!!
Edit: yea the downloads page still say 2.45 is the 'latest' version. The devs will hopefully update that when they give out the password.

Got both parts downloaded, on my flash drive, and only hour hour left until I leave here. I am very excite.
I was surprised, the server was only allowing ~100 mbps download.....the whole reason I downloaded here at work was because I assume it should have been so much quicker.

I played a little bit and then I got kicked for some reason on 762. I can't connect to the F|H server for some weird reason. Two servers and I can't play any of them. This is the problem with this mod.

I like how you conveniently avoided posting my "flame". I was simply saying that the map was too small for the player count, then someone told me to stop whining, then I told him to shut up. Then you warned me to stop flaming, which I was completely not. Wanna know what I said? I said "How is that flaming? lol." Look the chat log up for yourself.

Considering the vitriolic attitude towards Excavus and the atrocious lag/ping I experienced on the 762 server today, I don't think I'll be going back.
WaW lacks the players but has better ping, pity they only seem to play 16 player maps which are just CounterStrike to me (infantry only, no vehicles). Not what I play FH2 for.

Almost feels like I'm cheating when I obliterate the Americans on the beach with my Pak ;D That feeling when you see a squad bunched together.

I was the person who asked you whether you could play a single round without whining about something. Yes, I asked you and I didn't say "Stop whining!". After that you told me to shut up wich I personaly take offensive and I could have banned you for it, but I didn't. Not because I am an admin on the server, but judging by your general tone throughout the matches and how you worded it. Sandre saw it a bit different and banned you for that and rightfully though. You had your warnings and two successive violations of the rules are usualy a ban especialy after a TK on purpose. For some people this might seem too strict, especialy people like you who don't join our server on a regular base, but it is our philosophy to handle stuff a bit more strict and the majority of people seem to enjoy it on our server. Thatswhy it seems like a monompoly though it isnt. There are plenty of other servers to choose from and luckily FlH and WaW were going strong aswell. Hatts of to them aswell and I hope it stays like that.

Sorry to derail the threat, because the intention was a different for sure, but I felt the need to exlpain a few things. So calm down guys, enjoy the release as it is and stay tuned for updates and future additions to the mod. This isn't the final call.
I am still pretty pumped about the release and I really enjoyed it today. The whole FH2 community playing together with a few arguments though, but overall it was brilliant also playing with all the devs and testers.

If this is sarcasm then it's not a very mature attitude at all.
However if it isn't then it's just my feeling that 16 players map have no place really in FH2 as they don't seem to be what FH2 is about (in my opinion).
I thought that FH2 was about being different from your average FPS in that you could take many different routes to overcome an obstacle like for example an emplaced MG42: instead of charging up the middle or flanks as (and only as) infantry like every other WW2 FPS you could grab a Sherman, Hawker Typhoon, 3 inch Mortar, 25 Pounder, Jeep, etc and wipe that position out.
I fully realise that most reasoning behind having them is so servers can attract more people and so they can then launch the 64 players maps however it is my sheep-shaggin' kiwi opinion that 16 player maps keep those servers who run them empty because players want to grab a Sherman, Hawker Typhoon, 3 inch Mortar, 25 Pounder, Jeep, etc.
Just my 10 cents (New Zealand doesn't have 1c, 2c or 5c anymore) :)

Lolwut? t wasn't sarcasm. We can update maps much more easily now via updater and proper feedback will help us to do it. What you said is obvious, now post something more than 10 cents in proper topics so we won't miss it. You have an idea how to improve those maps? Post what, where and why should be changed and it might get changed in the future, we all want to attract more players and make this mod better ;)

But I did it once, you warned me and I never did it again but you kept warning me because of your delusions and now you're bringing it here? I know you don't like me, but you can get back sometimes, especially when I don't bring to the public forum when and why I am dissapointed with you, I simply ask you to do the same, so stop exaggerating every single problem, you are digging too deep already.

I just wonder why some people always have problems while most never have. Behave properly and nobody will harm you on 762. I never had a single problem with an admin decision since they changed their way of administrating. Mistakes were made and now just deal with the admins' decision and come back later. Most of the hate here is just unnecessary. When you don't offend anyone and don't break their rules, there won't be any problems for you. It works out for most players like that and it's not exactly difficult to have no problems while playing at all. I personally play to enjoy the game. So next time you change the "shut up" to a "that's just my opinion, I'm entitled to have it" and you won't have problems. That's not too much of a demand.
Sad that a thread which is about the anticipation of the patch turns out like this after all.

Just got home from work, stoked is an understatement 8) seeing people talking about pak kills, charging up the beaches. It killed me with jealousy to read half these threads at work today.
On another note, (and unrelated to the flaming that's been going on in this thread) there's a lot of long time FH2 players here that are psyched for this release. And hopefully 2.46 brings in a ton of new people and re-invigorates this mod.
I just hope the long time players here will extend a helping hand to the new guys and be as polite and respectful to them as possible. FH2 has a tough learning curve, especially when you're a new person playing with FH2 vets who can kill you in the blink of an eye cough *koenig* cough, and it certainly doesn't help if other people on the server are yelling at you for accidental tks or being a general n00b. I, for one, am really gonna TRY to bite my tongue tomorrow when it comes to the inevitable noobiness and smaktardiness that a re-surged player base brings; and I hope the other FH2 vets will do the same. Obviously keep an eye on the trolls that join in just to ruin a server :P but let's take it upon ourselves to show the new players the ropes, don't be so quick to yell at someone who doesn't know what they're doing and hopefully the new FH2 players will stay for many more patches to come.
There's a small core of dedicated players here, but we can make that player base grow by showing the new guys why this is the best WW2 game out there. 8)

We had sufficient reason to ban you, or there would have been no ban.
You were the only player we had to ban yesterday, for all others, warnings and kicks were sufficient.
Maybe that tells you something.

ON TOPIC:
Thanks for joining us, [WaW] and [F|H] public servers yesterday. We had a real blast.
On all three community teamspeak servers that I could visit yesterday (ours, Forgotten Honor,
Team Cont@ct), the players were excited to play FH2 again. We also had some visitors from [WaW]
over on our TS and playing with us in the squads.
The tanking is very interesting, the guns fire more precisely at long range, the turrets turn better.
Love the permanent minemarkers! The fast-dropping of satchels should make them much more useful now.
After 7 hours straight with close to full 128 players we had to restart the server after the round had ended.
We got some disturbing rubberbanding, but after the restart it worked remarkably better.
All in all I have to thank the developers here as player and admin for providing this release.
Many problems brought to notice by the community have been addressed, making FH2.46 a good release.
I hope to see you guys for some rounds on [762]#4 today, I can't wait to do more testing on the tanks
and try the reworked "old" maps.

Well good to see everybody was pumped. Damn the first I opened the hatch on the LCP with 128 players, I looked left I looked right, absolute chaos!.

On another note, (and unrelated to the flaming that's been going on in this thread) there's a lot of long time FH2 players here that are psyched for this release.
I was really happy to see some old-timers join in yesterday. Among many, many others I spotted Pz. Magnus, Toddel, ajappat, and Die Happy. Also very nice to play alongside people who I didn't see play public in a long time, outside of the tournaments, I mean.
It felt good that I had the possibility to switch between 762 with 128 players and F|H with 84 players, based on the map running currently :) Let's keep it up!
