Tank engines stillneed to be louder. Planes are!  So should tanks considering they move more weight. Also the engine start and idle needs to be louder. That default sherman interior  sound is to loud.

I love that the sherman (m4a1) has finally its own sound.. sorta.. kinda sounds like the others at top speed.  and. I hear it has a different start up sound.. which i like.. but it needs to be louder you can barely hear it! I wanna be immersed into the tank lets hear the roar to life sound of a tank engine..

I love the tanks reload sound now its awesome
The M36 sounds are awesome
M1917 sounds awesome
Quad and Twin .50 cal sounds great
Airplanes sounds awesome!
The ambience of maps sounds fantastic
I also like that the Besa sound was changed finally..
I like the panthers main gun sound

love the engine damaged sound for the tanks. ( the hissing of the engine like somethign is lose) i didnt hear a siren.  perhaps add on to this for when the tank is moving and make it sound hella squeaky like everything is damaged barely able to drive condition. 


Sounds i dont like.. 

The Thompson sounds horrific theres no other way of getting around that.... shoulda been left alone..ICK

That the M4A3(Ford GAA V8 engine)  /M4A4(sherman V)/ VC (chrysler A57 multibank) and M24 chaffee ( Cadillac Series 44T24) share the same engine sounds.. they should have different sounds for different engines ..

Still no definate start up sound for the P4 series of tanks..  atleast cant hear it if there is one.

Other thoughts

How come the replacement of tanks for the americans basically takes out the M4A1?  should be kept around in some numbers with teh A3's to represent the vast numbers of shermans. the M4A1s fought to the end of the war    white wash skin?

Tank combat i think is awesome! Much improved. I like that tanks cant just stop , and the angle mod seems to be working well.   

The maps are awesome ST vith is my new fav.

I say make tank engines a bit louder than the sherman interior sound thats put on all tanks.

Need more maps like Keren

Someone needs to master the ability to put headlights on vehicles and a button to turn them on and off.

I say the new night map effects are awesome. might i suggest more maps having a night time version and a night sky with thunder storms would be a great ambience for a future map.

The stamina unlimted is a good improvement.

over all i like it, just just hope the next patch isnt a year from now liek this one pretty much was.



COUGH 128 code for maps like st vith.. ( would be epic)   only if the code came out..

Dont forget that this feature would permanently use up one key, and that the bf2 engine limits how many keys you can use at the same time

e.g. you wouldnt be able to use freelook while driving in the other speed


Id deal with it though..   the ability to hold shift and drive infantry speed would be very useful.

Im all about this idea..

I meant that the tracks of the tank on the ground moving sounded like those of vanilla BF2 and didnt sound very appealing..

also i hope your able to find the best start up sounds..    ( best part of a tank  sound)  the P4 in Fh2 doesnt have one.. or atleast one that i cant hear..) 

Did the M10 and M18 have one it sounded like  a little rev in the beginning of both.. but not very much if there was one.

would love to hear it!  Also i hope you dont plan on keeping that BF2 track sound in.. makes the sound terrible =/ 

also i noticed for your hanomag..  the start up to idle.. the transition needs to be alot smoother.. im just point it out thats all.

i dont understand why its not if you can just make them act like planes after burners but just on tanks...

so what? small tweaks right? i think i just read that. Plus maybe it would make a player be more team oriented if you made a point system for a tank that slows down to help infantry if in a certain distance of a tank,.. idk..   but ive been asking for this idea for a while. 

you go tap with a P3 and tell me how it does for ya.

You can, at least, set your joystick throttle to control vehicle speeds.

this doesnt really work... it slowing starts going ,., but ends up going full speed a couple seconds later..

Hypertheatrically speaking... FH2 2.45 is already "FH3"  :o
Care to elaborate? 128 player support? Vehicle subsystem breakdown? Some meaningful incentive to join a squad besides a mobile spawnpoint? Working gunsights for German tank and AT guns? Climbing obstacles? Deployable LMG's (not tripod or lafette)?

...I didn't think so. :P

Yea these would be nice.. lets add environment destruction..   Also    FH2.45 is not hypothetically 3, when the name is FH "2.45." You cant call it FH3 when the 2.45 is alreayd being dictated out as 2.45 and NOT 3... because if my math is right then youll need  .55 more to have that whole number of 3, followed by which of course a new engine to run Fh on or its own.  thus FH2.45 can not be hypothetically FH3.... myth busted.       nyuk  nyuk nyuk

Btw is this partly in-game already (despite what Natty says). I swear that the frozen rivers on Bastogne give you less traction (and thus speed) when driving across them...  ???

Its true..  it does do that.  Im one for this idea..  It would make the roads as said.. more tactical for usage and ambushes.
