Title: Forgotten Weapons
Post by: Seth_Soldier on 20-08-2015, 20:08:41
I'm surprised that a lot of people doesn't know about this youtube channel, so here we go !

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrfKGpvbEQXcbe68dzXgJuA

This channel is very interresting if you like ww2 weapons

My favorite are the pak40:
https://youtu.be/T7fhBm1ouSU

and the ww2 explosive sniper ammo (a long time ago it was free on youtube):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzB_BxhW8XA

But there is plenty of other weapons (many very rare !)
Enjoy !

I've seen a few episodes of this channel and the guy is REALLY knowledgeable. I feel like he's one of the few people that actually loves his job :)

I also feel like VonMudra and him would get along quite well ;D

FH2 effects don't really do justice to how powerful the PaK 40 looks firing IRL.

To be fair, a good part of that is due to the dusty environment.  Another part of it is if it was as loud as it is irl, you would suffer pretty bad hearing damage. ;)

Interesting new video about the VG-5 (VK-98), that FH2 showcased not that long ago.

Awesome vid! Was waiting for him to do an episode on this. The only problem is that his VK-98 has a 5 round magazine :P

Why? he said they all have...

Cause the news update about our VK-98 mentions that they were manufactured with no magazine and had to be reloaded after each shot. Just seems a bit confusing unless I'm reading the news update wrong.

There were lots of different makers and designations- the one he reviewed was the VG-5.  It is more than likely that some had magazines, and others did not.

While Ian has been doing some flamethrower related videos for a while now, today we finally got the "proper old school FW" video that includes the M2 / M2A1 Flamethrower, both info and shooting range. Perhaps the best one yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPQYK5ZMbWY

Lahti L-39

Saw one in a Jaeger Brigade HQ during my conscript service. Sure is one big of a gun.

Here we go lads, more Finnish guns for anyone interested.

Rk95, a splendid gun. Also got to shoot with the Sako TRG last autumn during refresher training.

Personally I feel that this thread should be merged with the firearms thread, but that's just me. Forgotten Weapons channel itself is awesome, never knew that the MP41 wasn't just an MP40 with a wooden stock until a recent episode.

And since way fewer people follow InRangeTV, here's video of Ian and Karl shooting both M31 and KP44.
