Typhoon rockets
« on: 06-09-2009, 16:09:12 »
Is there engine limitations preventing Typhoon from launching its rockets simultaneously? Now when I fly and fire the rockets, first one usually hits where it is supposed to, but second one that is launched some time after the first usually is wasted because I have to pull up.

Essentially, Typhoons only fired 2 at a time.  Also, the rockets only had a 5% chance of a hit on target.

No, no you are getting me wrong. I meant that now when it fires the  rockets, one rocket goes first and the second some time after. It would be better to fire them from both wings simultaneously.

Simple fix is just to up the rate of fire of the rockets to 1800rpm.  Did this to Clivewil's P51 and Spit Mk.IX and it worked like a charm.

I believe BF2 engine only supports 600RPM. I think the way they fixed this for the MG42 is by giving it 2X 600RMP exit's.

Right about the 42, but the engine supports factors of 1800: thus 1800, 900, 600, 450, 300.  Those are the most common I think used ingame.
