I definitely recommend Stubbfan's suggestion of getting into contact with the CMP guys. They are doing Pacific content so they should be able to help you get started.

While the engine is definitely still limited, I think now is as good of a time as ever to start mapping for FH2.
One of the FH2 developers (TS4ever) has released a video series on making a map for FH2 that I recommend viewing. He probably answers a lot of the questions you have/will have in the series.

Once you get the game working, I recommend getting the editor working, all the files that are necessary get extracted, and also, I'd install bfmeshview. This is a very handy tool for viewing/editing static models.

For setting up the editor and extracting files, refer to the following link.

Anyways, good luck and above all have fun!

Sidi bou Zid 16p is a great play.  Really like the spawn points once you cap the two nearest flags.  Both of these maps' 32p versions can be played with 16p with no problem.

My PSU is rekt, won't be able to play anymore tonight.  Sounds like it's about to unleash a lightning bolt.

Great stuff!  Thanks a lot for doing this and for writing is so well that anyone could pick up 3d max and figure this stuff out.  Keep up the good work and I look forward to getting some models in game now.

Take your time!  Rather you be working on Fh2 when you have time rather than tutorials.
