The best thing to do on those slow traverse tanks is to move the whole hull and not even bother when turning the turret.Use your mouse to make ''small' adjustements.This way you will have your sights in the enemy faster and you will be facing the enemy with your front armor.

To avoid being flanked use your commander view,hold control (by default) and move your mouse around,the M10 is perfect for that since you don't have cuppolas,etc...blocking your view like in other tanks.

Anyway if it is a little too late what you sould do is jump in the .50 cal and deal sealed.You can destroy the Puma quite fast with it and now you can rotate it 360 degrees.

Taking out a Puma on Lutt Map

1) Sherman is preferred; for fast turret turns; turn tank with Turret
2) Stay to the East or West edges of maps; with one side (left or right) to the trees, wall, etc. (thereby blocking roughly 1/3 of your own tank from Puma fire (Puma can't circle around you)
3) When entering a new quadrant, field, or rounding a turn in the hedges... take a second to turn off the engine (switch positions) - and listen for enemy tanks (good speakers and/or loud earphones help).   Listen for enemy fire from the larger bulky german tanks as well.
4) The closer you are to Enemy lines, the Puma will come to you.  Turn off the engine, Keep your rear to a wall, and keep your distance from entrances, portals, and narrow access areas; which the Puma can pounce from.  When he rounds the corner or comes through the narrow access breach - hit position 1, immediately followed by the gunsight key - follow target with turret and shoot.

I fired a HE shell yesterday at a Puma, it landed next to it, and the thing blew up sky high?

Light tanks take damage from HE now (mentioned in the 2.25 Changelog).  That said, he was probably already damaged for him to go boom with one HE shell.

 just ram the sucker,

 if you really want to have some fun, hop out of your tank and shoot the Puma with a PIAT, Faust, schreck or Zook. the Puma fuckers will instantly whine but it always gives me a chuckle to rape those guys harder than they were attempting to.

I'm pretty sure raping another dude is unpleasant...but yeah, If you have a faust or a zook, just do that
