Title: Weapon Suggestions
Post by: EdM240B on 13-03-2018, 06:03:57
Always loved this mod for such a long time and now I’m only now getting involved with the community. Anyways, I’m a big WWII weapon nerd, so I made a list of some of the guns I’d personally like to see for the various factions in game:

USA:
-M2A1 Flamethrower: Seeing service in late of ‘44 and ‘45, the M2 is generally considered the best flamethrower of the war.
-M1941 Johnson LMG: While rarely seen, the Johnson is one of those under appreciated designs, as a lot of its elements are in many modern day small arms. Used by the US Para Marines in early Pacific battles and Devil Brigade at Anzio.

UK:
-Lanchester MkI*: British version of the MP28 to replace the Thompson. Capable of bayonet mount and holds 50 rounds.
-De Lisle Carbine: Suppressed bolt action rifle that fires a subsonic .45ACP round.

Germany:
-Mauser C96 “Red 9”: 9mm version of the Mauser C96 pistol. Very famous design that was widely uaed in both World War I and II.

Poland:
-Vis 35: Polish Browning High Power
-Blyskawica: Polish Underground forces submachine gun.
-Wz. 28: Polish-made Browning Automatic Rifle, fitted with a pistol grip and chambered for 8mm Mauser.

There are no maps on which any of these could be used. Except maybe for C96 which would be nice to have. De Lisle could probably be a nice addition for Commandos, in form of a pickup kit on Port en Bessin but I don’t know if that would be historically correct. Not many of these carbines were ever produced as far as I know. About flamethrower, well, flamethrower is a joke in this and engine but still I would see British, German and Russian counterparts than another model for Americans.

A C96 Carbine would be amazing!
