The spread of the MG is actually higher then in was in Fh1, I used to be able to kill anything I could SEE with a coaxial MG, in fh1, now in fh2 there is more drop and spread involved, please leave it alone. Infantry need to find a vehicle or slow down if they are being killed too much by tanks. OR see my suggestion on tank immersion effect, which balances out the new iron sights in my opinion and gives infantry the chance they need, the right way.

Though I will say the AA Veirling has a much more concentrated spread, and that could be loosed up a dad bit, but if it's real to spec, you can't argue with that.

As to animations, Devs should put it on a list of things they would like done if time permits, there are thousands of animation students in colleges across the world who would jump at the opportunity to do an animation for an active video games, mod or not. Working or not Natty, it just looks dumb to see a mortar shooting off rounds, when without 20% of the time hassle or money involved with PC games and FH, I can pop in Medal Of Honor Teir 1 and see awesome animations of mortars. Games are involving at lightning speed and BF2 is going to look like BF1942 in the next 2-3 years if little things aren't at least encouraged.

So they are so infallible yet they can't even communicate and work with each other... sounds like politicians.

Vicious, you don't seem to understand that no one here gives a fuck about the graphics or the animations or such.  They're just frosting on an incredible cake.  You can pile on as much frosting on the cake, but that doesn't make the cake any BETTER.  FH2 is an incredible mod with incredible game-play, mixture of fun and realism, and PEOPLE.  Adding stuff like animations that we don't need doesn't add shit to the game.  If that's what's important to you, seeing little animated hands put a round in the mortar, then go play Medal of Honour and have fun with it being poor game-play, extremely poor realism, and whiny 10 year old gamers.

What do you rather have? Fancy new animations? or New maps, vehicles, weapons, player models, new nations perhaps, fronts, maus.....
Or perhaps a breaktrough? like the adding of light and medium bombers?

Then why did the devs make some new animations in the last patch?
Because the people want them.

If no one cares about graphics and animations, how about removing half of those useless effects?
After all, they don't affect gameplay, and they just add to memory usage.

Because that 'frosting' is what makes the cake interesting.  But its not the basis of the game, and duly not the most important thing.  Which would you rather have, Battle of Brest, or a prone animation for the MG42.  ::)  All the interesting animations and effects are simply visual pleasures that the devs include to enhance that pleasure.  They have nothing to do with how fun the game is.

People want a lot of things, but you didn't want prone animations until they put them in.

I'm certainty not saying work on animations instead of new maps. Spend a little more time reading what I actually post instead of insta-flame, PLEASE.

Which would you rather have, Battle of Brest, or a prone animation for the MG42.

I'd rather have the MG42 animation, which applies to all MG42s in the mod, than a single map.

They have nothing to do with how fun the game is.

They add immersion, which I need to have fun. That's personal opinion though, but I believe it applies to quite a few people.

you didn't want prone animations until they put them in.

I wanted them.
They already had one, since 2.0 (simply deploying the bipod), but it seemed a bit simple to me.

1) You are a 1 man minority then.  A map includes a whole new set of gameplay challenges for every player.  A prone animation is some sprinkles.

2) Immersion is not the fun.  The fun comes from the maps, the weapons and vehicles you are given, and the coding that goes into the way they behave.  Half Like 1 is still an amazingly fun game, is it not?

3) You didn't want them, no one asked for them.  The devs made one for a couple weapons, and immedietly people went "OH WE'VE BEEN MISSING THOSE ALL OUR LIVES!"  We weren't missing anything.  The devs simply put something neat in.  Its neat.  It looks purty.  It doesn't mean it is a critical game design feature without which, we would be lost.

I was making a point of divide between PC and Console games, yes we have a better game, but what good is that game when you can only play it on the weekend during the day?!!

Why are you guys shooting down an otherwise good idea just because of time, that doesn't make the idea no good. The idea is great, you just don't have the time, LOCK IT UP!

Player numbers dont rise because of graphics
Any version before a major release always has the lowest population. This was so in 2.15, it is now.

What people love to see in this game are=Weapons, vehicles, maps, nations and gameplay/fun
FH2 provides this, because all the above is LACKING in todays game, and in the origenal Battlefields aswel imo(exept fun)

And we are all mighty gratefull to the devs for this.

I'd rather have less well done stuff than much badly done stuff. I ain't saying that devs have done things badly because the have done really well.

The fun comes from the maps, the weapons and vehicles you are given

Only if they "feel" like they should.

I have no fun with the planes in the game, and I hate them, for being able to turn around in 5 seconds and less than a hundred meters to hit me back moments after they already did. There could be a hundred more planes modeled in the game, and it wouldn't change that. Because they don't feel like planes. The Typhoon looks great on renders, but I never saw them as Typhoons in the game. They're just speedy, annoying UFOs with rockets.

You could model a hundred more planes, but if they don't 'feel' like the ones they're supposed to be, what's the point?
They're still UFOs to me.

The same applies to weapons.
Quantity changes nothing, if they don't feel like the weapons they represent.

Same goes for maps. And I like them because they feel like the places they represent.

Personally i to am dissapointed in the plane section of FH2. But in no way am i dissapointed in the ground combat section. It is ten to hundred to thousand times better then FH1.

So far the only thing i miss from FH1, is bombers and ships. But that doesnt spoil my fun

Oh, I'm not saying it's bad.
There's a number of things that I don't like, but I usually have fun palying FH2, on most maps.
