Could you reveal the factions that will be clashing on this map? That would make things a lot easier ;D. Also, even without having seen the map in it's entirety, I already feel obliged to laud the mapper who created it since it looks truly outstanding from what I have seen so far :-*.

The weather may help you narrow it down a little bit. It doesn't rule anything out, but it nudges one towards certain ideas...

Oh look, a manor! I guess I'll just check all the hundreds of small manors in the Normandy area!

Not just any manor. is that a brand new manor static? :o or have I just not been paying attention?

So there's heavy overcast and the lighting looks like it's dawn or dusk, or high noon in Finnish midsummer.

Lighting would point more towards Pegasus than Gold Beach, though wouldn't airborne maps for D-Day be night maps instead?

No snow so no Ardennes, and I'm ruling out Eastern Front as well (because then it would be a different dev who scouted the location). More battles in the Hürtgenwald region is of course a possibility - I doubt that the devs had the resources to secretly expand to Operations Market/Garden. There was that map set in Germany on the test server once...

Oh, I think I know the answer! Wasn't too difficult to guess - at least with these added new pictures (I haven't found the location of the third picture). But well those street lamps are the key I think! :P

You know, you are allowed to post your theories and ideas in here... the goal of the game is not to drag it out as long as possible ;)

Wish that photo was clear enough to see that sign... It would be much easier to find out.
