According to this it was taken in the evening... And the map is quite dark... I must say the cloudy weather quite confused me, I thought it was some battle that took place a bit later...

Very nice looking map!  :) Somehow Omaha was the last guess in my mind.

So we have 2 D-day maps so far, it would be perfect if the patch came out June 6.

Looks like a H35/39 turret on top of a bunker, them and other turrets were used along the Atlantic wall.
