I got Shogun 2 Total War: Fall of the Samurai.

Does this make me a sellout?

They want to take mine out for like 20 years now, but I refuse. As long as I don't have them causing any pain, I keep them. Mankind survived for millions of years without them being taken out, but I can't keep em nowadays?
"Mankind" as in our current form of Homo sapiens is estimated to be no more than 200 000 years old. During this time however, evolution has not stopped and humans have continued to evolve. One of the things that has changed most notably in the evolution of man is the skull, especially our cranial capacity, our foreheads and our jaws. Just looking at our predecessor Homo erectus should make that clear.

Top: Homo erectus est. 1.7 My - 0.3 My
Bottom: Homo sapiens est. 0.2 My - present

Over the past million years, the 'human' jaw has become notably smaller and thus has far less room for as many teeth. Indeed, Mankind has not been "doing fine", as as much as 35% of humans do not have wisdom teeth. The fact that wisdom teeth are not always life-threatening and do not become a problem until after reproductive age means evolutionary pressure is low, but I do not doubt that, had we evolved a few hundred thousand years longer before inventing safe pre-emptive surgery, humans would not have wisdom teeth at all.

That said, my dentist has told me that if your wisdom teeth aren't bothering you, there's no real need to have them removed. As such, I also still have mine.

@ Lightning, it is not just that, more and more people seem to be getting a extra lumbar vertebrae these days. I know a girl that has one extra. We are still evolving it seems. One can only wonder what else is changing or will change.

Actually, Homo erectus had 6 lumbar vertebrae, so it's more likely to be a leftover than a genuine new mutation. Still, I have to disagree that humans are evolving. Natural selection is quickly disappearing, as we use our technology to correct our afflictions and shape our surroundings to fit our needs, rather than evolving to better fit our surroundings. Yet the real end of our 'natural' evolution will be when our understanding of genetics reaches the point where we can safely modify our genome, which I'm reasonably sure, will be within our lifetimes.

I'm taking my own freedom
puttin' it in my song
singing loud and strong
proving all day long
I'm takin' my freedom
puttin' it in my stroll
I'll be hop-steppin' y'all
lettin' the joy unfold

Well it is, but that is cultural evolution, not genetical evolution.  :)

Speaking of genes, did I ever mention that I'm black?

Fucking youtube causing me grey hair so early in the morning. God damn bloodsuckers I hate them. Going through FH's tube channel for any vids that was caught by the nets of the copyright nazis and whaddyaknow, 0.7 release trailer got caught but fortunately not blocked. This really pisses me off, like I want to stress over some ancient old videos because they used edith piaf or something.

I'd understand all these nazis if we were hosting a whole movie or a television series in our tube channel, then they'd have all the rights in my eyes to go for it but nowadays logging to our tube channel makes me feel sick from the sheer thought "what will I find this time?" when I go to see copyright section...

Oh how I'd love to back our things and move the channel to some place where we'd be free but I dont think theres a good alternative and besides, everyone's at youtube so theres no other benefits for moving. Its only about time that video makers, ours and the public alike, needs to start using music thats free-to-use... Sucks but at least then we dont have to put up with this shite despite all videos having the same musics in the end.  :P

Goddamnit.

EDIT: Lemme add this bit... YT could slap ads to all of our vids or next to our videos as long as it meant we do not get videos taken out. Im totally fine with that. Gimme ads damnit!

I don't understand this stupidity. What if you payed for the Edith Piaf music? You can then upload it on youtube no? You fucking paid for it so why can't you let other people listen to it? Youtube is not a downloader, even if software exist for it, YT should not recognise them.

It's like if I bought an Edith Piaf's music then let people listen to it in a club, what's the problem? And in the clubs they even earn money, while you don't on your youtube video.
Hey, huge ass .gif signatures are totally unnecessary and obnoxious. Not these anymore, thankyouverymany kkbyethx love you, all the homo. -Flippy

It's like if I bought an Edith Piaf's music then let people listen to it in a club, what's the problem? And in the clubs they even earn money, while you don't on your youtube video.

When you throw official parties like i do with friends you would know that you have to pay ridiculous amounts of money to be able to play that music for you.

The amount you have to pay is calculated on factors like how many people will come, how much do you charge for entry, how long will the party last, ...

I can guarantee you, if we give a party we have to pay 250 euro MINIMUM. So a party with less then 50 people and no entry fee. If it gets bigger (like 1000 people, 8 euro entre fee) then it can be over 1000 euro to be allowed to play music for an evening.

If you think having a live band fixes it, then you are wrong, you still have to pay.

You don't buy a song, you have permission to listen to it by yourself or a few people, but no more then 12 at a time and at a private location. If you break these rules you have to pay extra copyright moneys to the big cooperation.

Hence, i support anything that stands up to things like SABAM or RIAA or BREIN or whatever criminal copyright organisation.

SABAM ruined the school senior's ball last year. They were there unannounced and fined the organizers. Poor girls...
