« on: 30-08-2009, 07:08:08 »
Hi there Forgotten Hope Community! I have recently joined a mod dev team for BF1942. We are makeing a ww1 mod, im sure you have heard of it and perhaps played it. It is still kicking and we are getting ready to release 3.1, which will incorporate ships battle(designed by my self :) ). Any who we have a sunday game night for all to play. I would love to see some fhers who play this mod, which is similar to fh in many ways.

Download from here!

Wait...1918 is still alive????

Ohhh...its just the inside 1918 team, not the original team.  I used to do research for the 1918 team...then when the attempt to bring it to Bf2 died, the entire team, myself included, sorta slinked away into the night.  Good to see some people are still working on it though.

Yes and No the mod is still alive but the team has changed. Development of 3.1 has begun and will be completed soon.

BF1918 was THE underrated mod for BF1942 by far... I had so much fun playing it. It was very polished and immersive... some of those trench maps were simply unbelievable in how high quality all the statics and heightmaps were.

It's a shame that no one has been playing for a very long time.

FH1 you mean.

BF1918 is my favourite, it tops FH1. just wish to play it 32v32.

Is it actually like the Great War?   How about realism, how does it score there?

Realism yes, one shot one kill, sacrifice some historical accuracy for balance and game play. Warhammer 40,000: Universe At War is a mod team that i am apart of for Star wars: Empire at war: forces of corruption. I am a fluff adviser, modeler.

I'm with Ted. I liked all the goodies from FH1 but BF1918 had something.. The trench maps where so awesome, bayonet firing mode all the time :)

Remember when we tried to organize a match? Such a pity the other clan died.

I'm sure it does. Just go through the same procedure as with FH1.

Exactly:) it was just something about it...

Hehe was it really them that died? and not due to me being inactive?

No, I recruited people in the 130th, send a message to them every week and always 'another person will contact you later'. Till one day their site went down and stayed down.
