Hi there Ekalbs here again with a new way to fix the toolbox.  i have heard many complaints about the complexity of the previous fix. As such i will give the modified .exe as a download. this will skip the complexity and possible fix other problems such as not fh2_toobox not a vaild win32 app. etc.  I cannot confirm that it will fix it but it is worth a try as such it is for download. the download comes in four parts and need to be resembled with winrar. If you do use this .exe make sure you back up your old one. Also you will need to make a new shortcut for the new .exe

1. navigate to the existing .exe folder (eagames/battlefield 2/mods/fh2/binaries/fh2_toolbox/)
2. drag fh2_toolbox(origional).exe to a folder called backup(you create folder backup)
3. extract all the .rar from the .zip
4. extract all 4 folders using winrar.(open folder 1 in winrar and as long as they are in the same folder all 4 will mesh together.)
5. drag new .exe to folder (eagames/battlefield 2/mods/fh2/binaries/fh2_toolbox/)

virus free i promise. why would i wanna harm my fellow fh'ers! sorry thatits not super simple but its simple'er.

Is there a way to get a picture of the mini maps/main map from the levels. for example like you have on the website. However id like to know how to do it for bf2 and bf1942 or would i just use a program like snag it(however that would produce a low quality pic). Thanks

I heard from a not so reliable resource that Germany is considering banning "killergames", due to a school shooting? Is this true? If so all i gotta say is wow... and glad i live in the USA for now anyways.

Greetings to all i have found the problem at last to the toolbox.

Supplies:

1. Administrator Rights
2. Microsoft Visual C++
3. Back Up ALL file you choose to edit!

For the toolbox

1.Okay locate the location for the fh2_toolbox.exe

2.Open the Visual Studios Command Prompt with administrator rights.

3. Type(leave out quotes) "cd c:\Program Files\" then press enter

4. Type "cd EA GAMES" then press enter

5. Type "cd Battlefield 2" then press enter

6. Type "cd mods" then press enter

7. Type "cd fh2" then press enter

8. Type "cd binaries" then press enter

9. Type "cd fh2_toolbox" then press enter

10. Okay now type "editbin.exe /LARGEADDRESSAWARE fh2_toolbox.exe" press enter

11. Microsoft should say some copyright right stuff.

12. Finally Type "BCDEDIT /set increaseuserva 2900"

13. Enjoy the toolbox

To give fh2 more ram

1.Okay locate the location for the fh2.exe

2.Open the Visual Studios Command Prompt with administrator rights.

3. Type(leave out quotes) "cd c:\Program Files\" then press enter

4. Type "cd EA GAMES" then press enter

5. Type "cd Battlefield 2" then press enter

6. Okay now type "editbin.exe /LARGEADDRESSAWARE fh2.exe" then press enter

9. FH2 now has more ram to utilize!

Please tell me if it has worked and post any questions or problems concerning the patch. I feel that i should also state i am not responsible for any corrupted .exe that's why you always back up first! and a quick fix if you corrupt your only .exe or toolbox.exe is to uninstall then reinstall.

Okay after reading the forums i have decided to look into the toolbar for vista.

Microsoft Claims These files are bad:
WERF6AC.tmp.version.txt
WER6BA.tmp.appcompat.txt
WER6FA.tmp.hdmp

can be found under the C:\Users\(your account name)\AppData\Local\Temp\

saying these files are incompatible.  how ever they don't exist!   you are redirected to this website:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/dcp20.asp

thus in order to get the toolbar working these files must be generated or set to be compatible.

I have found these files in place of the previous files.

WER90F1.tmp.mdmp
WER90D0.tmp.appcompat.txt (possible xp mode file)
WER7F5B.temp.version.txt

Well lets see if there is any fact behind my theory!
